Used Lybra 1.6 or 1.8
Hello. I'm from Portugal and I´m new to this forum and I was wondering if it would be possible for anyone to shed some light about this model. I´m thinking of buying a used Lybra 1.6 or 1.8 from 1999 - 2001. I would like to ask anyone to say what kind of experiences they had with this car (good and bad). What are it's pro´s and con's? Any informations shall be appreciated. Thank you.

I drive a 2001 Lybra SW 1.8 and absolutely love it.
It's comfortable, quick enough and mine has been absolutely trouble free.
The maintenance and repair costs overall have been 2.2 euro cent per km (its at 85000 now) or about 1800 Euro in 3,5 years. Try to drive a golf or any thing else for that matter. 4 new tires and replacement of the distribution-belt + normal service every 20K kilometers.
If I would go for a new car I would buy it again.
