16V Integrale engine problem

When the car gets to full boost, it mis-fires and blows black smoke out of the exhaust. Someone suggested it was the overboost solenoid shutting down the ignition as the boost was getting too high...any ideas on the cause and fix please.

Does this happen at a certain engine speed or dit it happen at a certain boost, no matter what the engine speed?

It appears to happen only when the turbo comes on full boost. The engine will run out to the red-line if you do not apply full throttle (therefore not full boost).
However full throttle at low revs is fine. Does this help?

Check the spark plugs and wires. You maybe lose the fire in your spark plugs, You can take dawn the gap to 0.5mm and try the difference.
