Overheating?

My Trevi VX has a good working temp. gauge, except for the red light, and the engine is not running hot. How can I stop this light without taking the bulb out?

Jan,

It sounds as if one of the water sensors in the head (for the warning light) is faulty. There is another one which send temperature.
