S1 coupe heater unit

Looking at possibly removing my S1 coupe heater unit assembly for a refurb etc.

Is it possible to just close the heater cock and also the bleed cock (near the horns on the subframe) before removing the matrix hoses?

Or do I need to fully drain the coolant from the whole system?

you best drain the coolant... not so, difficult. even then it will be a bit messy..

And blow compressed air into the hose going to the matrix to move as much coolant as possible to the drain.
