I just bought a 75 Fulvia 1.3S Series 2, and I wanted to adjust the side view mirror; however, it seems to spring back to its initial position. How is it adjusted? Do I loosen the screw?
Sorry for the silly question; this is a new car for me, and I'm looking forward to learning and driving it as often as possible. Any help is much appreciated.
Serge

Re: Adjusting the side view mirror, 75 Fulvia
Welcome Serge.
Regulations say that after being hit the mirror should go back into the correct position without any adjustment.
To comply the safety joint and the adjust joint were separate.
The bottom joint is for safety.
The top one is for adjusting. You may have to loosen the screw a bit as you say.
If it is still the original Lancia mirror, it will work ok. If it is repro there is no way you can put it in the correct position unless you work on the mirror. Use a file to make the stem exactly fit the foot. Replace the spring with a stronger one.
