LHD headlights

I have a LHD series 1 Fulvia sport which has the original dipping to the right headlights.
I have heard that either Renault 12 or Ami 8 headlights fitted to RHD cars fit the Lancia . Is this true?
If black triangle deflectors are fitted, will it pass the British MOT?
