Re: Fulvia S1 subframe measurements

Here a pic of the sub frame which is now being built up on the table. subf spotwelds 1.jpg Below some pictures of a sub frame of one of the cars we are now working on. The car is a 74 coupé from Napoli. It was in storage for most of the time. The sub frame is unmolested and no rust. We soda blasted ...

Re: Fulvia S1 subframe measurements

Hi I upgraded the forum to be able to install better spam defenses. There are quite a lot of spam messages. One of the things that will be installed is a country filter. Visitors from Western Europe, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan will see the forum. Others will see a white p...

Re: Fulvia S1 subframe measurements

You are right. The subframes have the same sizes. It is just that the deformation of subframe will not match deformation of body.

I just asked Wainer. The H.0 line means Altezza 0, height 0.

Re: Fulvia S1 subframe measurements

And.

If the 1C point on the right is high and the caster low, then most likely the RH top mounting hole for the alloy tower is no longer true.

And

Didn't you say the subframe has an 818.330 number? I doubt that is a Zagato subframe.

Re: Fulvia S1 subframe measurements

@lancia7550 Very good procedure if you are doing a limited number such as restoring one for your self. Each year we have quite a few of "sub frame cases". That includes collision damage. @Luca. If you say the RH rear mount is low, then perhaps you say the 1C point is high when the RH outrigger is bo...

Re: Fulvia S1 subframe measurements

Hi Luca, The way of measuring I see on the pictures is very recognizable. That is how we started. It is not accurate enough. The table we built is modular and now in use to build up a complete subframe. I can't take any pictures. It is as I described. It also includes a removable clamp for keeping t...

Re: Fulvia S1 subframe measurements

The sections of the sub frame can be bent, curved, twisted, warped, torn etc.. Even all at the same time Measuring the sub frame is thus not easy. According to my piano tuner who also restores grand piano's and according to myself it is worth the effort of doing the job correctly to the mm Get some ...

Re: Fulvia S1 subframe measurements

I found the drawing I made to construct a table for repairing a sub frame. The table was much in such a way that the sub frame can be clamped onto it the right way up or upside down.

Avellino. Nice. I have not been there yet. Tufo is still on my list. For the Greco di Tufo.
