Re: Ignition timing point
I have a very simple stroboscope, so there's no good way to check the advance on higher rev's. I guess the marks on the flywheel is out of sight at approximately 20 degrees? As you say, there could be other reasons, but the spindle feels very tight. I will anyway change to a 123 system this winter. ...

Re: Ignition timing point
Is it possible that the springs that delay the advance function can be weakened? I guess I have the original distributor on my car, and that nothing has been replaced since new, in 1974. When I do a static ignition point adjustment, at 8 degrees, the stroboscope check gives approximately 15 degrees,...

Re: Air in the petrol inlet tube
Hi again, The throttle cable is long enough to have a loop, but not a wide one. There is a rubber bushing, where enter the firewall. I can't see that there are two rubber rollers behind the throttle pedal. There is an adjustable screw, with a rubber damper on top of it. (see attached photo) Clearanc...

Re: Air in the petrol inlet tube
I'm not sure my wife even hear that there is an issue, but I understand what you mean. I will record a short video, and see if I can record how it sounds like.
Attached a photo of throttle and choke cable. The throttle cable is new.

Re: Air in the petrol inlet tube
I have sprayed starting fluid all around the inlet area, to detect a change in idling revs. No vacuum leak detected by that method.

Re: Air in the petrol inlet tube
I have the NGK BP7E S, without the resistor. The plugs are new, and I reduced the gap to 0,6 mm, as I read in one of your earlier posts. I have also tried a cold start, without choke, and it works fine. The choke is functioning, but if you have time to let the engine get warm before you drive, you d...

Re: Air in the petrol inlet tube
Thank's for your quick reply. I'm located in Sweden, 50 km south of Gothenburg.
All the fuel hoses are new, except for the return hose. I will replace it.
All four jets squirts fuel, but it's hard to say if it's sufficient. I will try to find a 0,4 mm drill bit, and check.

Air in the petrol inlet tube
I'm the lucky new owner of a Fulvia S3 74 model. I just have two issues. It "hesitates" during acceleration. It starts fine, when it's cold, but it stops after a second. Then I have to repeat the starting procedure 3-5 times before it's running. I have to pump the throttle each time. When ...
