S1 Wheeels

I gather i would need to machine out centres of S2 /3 steel wheels to fit a S1 ( I am thinking of going to 4.5inch width rims to assist steering ) Any idea of how much the diameter has to increase by? Wondering if could refit the centre caps in some way if this is done.
