I’m looking for a supplier of the M18x1.5 aluminium cylinder head and crankshaft hex plugs.
I can find steel but am concerned about electrolysis in the coolant system.

Re: Seized Flavia Engine
Can anyone confirm the size of the aluminium cylinder head plugs. There are 4 of these in each head. I believe they are M18x1.5 by measurement but I cannot find out information. The Lancia part number is 4113113 but I cannot find any leads on these. I believe these are the same size as all but one o...

Re: Seized Flavia Engine
You may be right. I note that the clearance between the piston and liner in my documentation is 0.064-0.09mm with a wear limit of 0.2mm.
My pistons are type "C".

Re: Seized Flavia Engine
The pistons have a marking Sp 0,07. Any ideas what this means? I don't think it is oversize.

Re: Seized Flavia Engine
After the long COVID delays and other life issues I have finally got my hands on the long-promised 1800 long motor and transmission from a friend. These are very rare cars here so they don't come up often. I have a list of chassis numbers for the Coupe but is there a list of engine numbers per year ...

Cooling system flush
Following on from my seized engine debacle post below I’m restarting my effort to try and do SOMETHING constructive with my engine. After 35+ years of sitting idle all the cooling system parts are encrusted with scale. I was intending to submerge these in a 10% solution of citric acid to try and cle...

Re: '70 Flavia 2000 LX - renovation of the braking system
I too am slowly restoring my brake system.
Apart from the brake pistons needing re-sleeving I’m looking for the large rubber diaphragm in the brake booster.
I keep finding some parts in “old Lancia parts” website but ever time I place a request for a price on their website I get no answer?

Re: Seized Flavia Engine
Surprisingly the oil system and filter were very clean. The reason I pulled the plugs is because I have history with VW engines which need to have the plugs removed because a lot of the engine oil galleys are dead ends and can clog with debris. So you need to get all of this out by mechanical means....

Anyone know the sizes of the aluminium oil plugs on the engine and the oil sump plug?

Re: Seized Flavia Engine
So it is 2 months of heating and using penetrating oil including using a home made puller to try and remove the distributor. It is stuck permanently. The distributor in any case is junk. I cut off the distributor shaft flush with the engine. What is left is the shaft and the outside body of the dist...
