Re: Help needed with 1966 Fulvia S1 1.2 DHLB 32 Jetting and Settings

Was afraid of that. DHLB 32 for other makes can stil be found, yes. DHLB 32 and 35 for the Fulvia are becoming extremely rare. NOS is almost impossible. Sometimes you can find used ones.... I need to check again on all the details for the differences and if it is downrifght impossible or can be done...

Re: Help needed with 1966 Fulvia S1 1.2 DHLB 32 Jetting and Settings

A special warning... it is written in the document, but I would like to specify it explicitely here. The DHLB 32 (unlike the DHLB 35) was made in several vesions, not only for the Fulvia (Fiat, etc). The versions for other makes are NOT compatible with the Fulvia (even considering that they are conf...

Re: Help needed with 1966 Fulvia S1 1.2 DHLB 32 Jetting and Settings

Something additionally important for S1 cars without fuel return line and without fuel pressure regulator; and that was not in the document: - the DHLB carburettors are extremely sensitive to too high fuel pressure. For S1 Fulvia cars without fuel return line and not equipped with a fuel pressure re...

Re: S1 Gearbox 4 speed problem - Third gear jump

The long gear shift lever "falling out" of gear in third is not uncommon. The lever has quite some weight in the end, and pulls it out of gear. Something to check is the big bolt/nut that fixes the lever under the protection rubber boot in the cabin. It is a bolt with self locking nut. The...

Re: '68 Fulvia Solex tuning / adjustment?

Small correction in the long first message: "Start on the next idle screw, doing the same, and turning the RPM down again, and so on till the last." should read : Start on the next MIXTURE screw, doing the same, and turning the RPM down again, and so on till the last.

Re: '68 Fulvia Solex tuning / adjustment?

oh, I forget. It is much harder to tune the C.35 carbs with the air filter off. The air filter is made to be in tune with the carbs. Put the air filter on when trying to tune the carbs.

Re: '68 Fulvia Solex tuning / adjustment?

Hi. That's a pretty hard question to answer. First: it is almost pointless to tune the carbs it the valve and ignition timing aren't set correctly, and the ignition is not in perfect condition. That said, the tuning of the carbs is pretty complicated. In all, there are 10 setting screws. But assumin...

Re: Solid State VR

OK, I have been doing some research. The version with the different form factor (the one Huib talks about) apparently has become quite more expensive. and is now practically as expensive as the one that has the same form factor as the original VR. The number you gave is the one with the same form fa...

Re: Solid State VR

There are actually TWO electronic VR versions that you can use (for dynamo). One is the version that Huib talked about. It has the advantage being cheaper, but has a different form factor than the original, and has the potential problem of the having the (unfused) main voltage on the outer case. The...
