As Charles mentioned, you will need to modify the floor pan for the 4 speed change lever. I've done this in the reverse direction, to fit a 5-speed box on an S1 car. (Actually, the box was already changed, but the bodge to accommodate the 5-speed extension was truly horrible.) I wouldn't underestima...

Re: Crazy Yanks!
I don't believe this is real. If you check out the vendor's other items, he appears to have 'kits' for every car ever made! And many of the pictures are the same for wildly different cars.

Re: Help
I think you may have the distributor timed 180 deg out. When the cam and crank marks line up, the rotor arm should be pointing to the #4 wire on the distributor cap.

I don't think this is right?
The attached file is a picture of the disc that goes outside the copper washer, at the end of the stubby driveshaft, on an S2. (Whew that was a bit of a mouthful!) I'm assuming that the worn ring is not a design feature. I don't remember seeing it when I had the other side apart a year or so back. N...

Re: alternate alternator
Ed, You might be interested in this thread: http://www.viva-lancia.com/lancia_fora/read.php?10,8636,8636#msg-8636 It describes my quest for a replacement alternator, and mentions a few possible sources. None of the options is a direct bolt-in replacement, though. In my case there wasn't too much 'cr...
