Hi, My 1800 is this year dismantled due to head gasket leakage. latest gasket change was made 20 years ago. My question is : Is it OK that liners and motorblock are at the same level, or must I remove the liners and fit new shims.If possible I would avoid that. I have checked the level with a grinde...

Flavia 1800 cylinder liners
In the manual I can see that when refitting cylinder liners they must protude 0,05 mm over motor block. My question is: does the liners "settle" after some years. In my case the liners are the same level as the motor block. Is that still aceptable/ normal.
