Re: Slow release with brakes

Well, the booster shouldn't be rusty, because it was entirely zinc-plated during renovation. Maybe it could be possible for it to have some internal friction, even though brake rubber grease was applied to sliding parts. Considering that the diaphragm is an original (!) part from late 60s, maybe it ...

Slow release with brakes

Hello, Braking system on my Flavia was completely refurbished before registering the car on 2017. Well, almost completely, because the valve assembly was only painted and booster was put back together with original diaphragm. All other parts were dismantled, cleaned, and put together with new seals....

Fuses and plug-in socket

What is the fuse type used in Flavia? I replaced the corroded 15A fuses with 16A Bosch type ceramics (as 15A was not available anywhere), but they seem to be longer, and the lid of the fuse box will not fit any more. Apparently these fuses are not Bosch type, but something else that is not familiar ...

Re: Cooling system flush

Hi, because Flavia engine is aluminum, oxalic acid is better choice. Just don't let it enter any sealing and bearing surfaces, and don't leave it soaking for many hours without observation. Rinse well.

Re: '70 Flavia 2000 LX - renovation of the braking system

Hello, The Dunlop system is Lancia-specific when it comes to main cylinder and slave cylinder (and, I believe also the booster.) These have metric seals, unlike the british cars. The wheel cylinders have imperial (inch) seals, and Jaguar (as well as others with same size) parts will fit. All seals a...

Re: Lancia Flavia 68

Marelli S102 distributor? I used parts for Fiat 1300/1500. The spark plug leads go upwards instead of horizontally like on original cap, but price and especially availability was much better.

Re: Please help ID this WW2 Lancia Roadster

I'd say it is definitely Astura, but it can be Pinin Farina, there are relatively many examples of front-hinged Astura PFs.

Re: Berlina 2.8-project

IMG_20220404_191557_HDR.jpg Everything gone. What is seen of the internal support on the picture, is almost everything that there was left. Made a mistake with the floor and sill, should have installed the inner wall of sill first, before the the bottom of the floor/wheel arch. Now it will be more ...

Re: Berlina 2.8-project

I don't recall that. On the other hand, I didn't recall my user name either (Verde Finlandia), until I checked it from the browser. I may have to ask someone to measure the correct placing for clutch pedal return spring attachment point under the floor. The floor had been replaced earlier, and the s...

Re: Berlina 2.8-project

Of course I should have remebered... :) Checked that project years ago, but it seems to have gone forward since last time.
