Dusk and rain sensor problem solved

For a long time I've experienced problems with the dusk and rain sensor. I've got fault indications from it ("Avaria sensore crepuscolare") associated with on/off flicker of the instrument cluster backlights and sporadic operation of the automatic wipers. Finally the rear ceiling light sta...

Re: Seat adjustments not working

Thanks. I forgot to follow this board for months. The cause was a cut wire that energized the relay R21 in the fuse box in the boot. I really cannot understand how the wire has been damaged. It was simply cut only an inch or so from the ECU connector. The ECU is located at the left-hand side of the ...

Re: Air Conditioning - Rear Button Problem

Do you have a registered copy of MultiEcuScan? If not, get one and an ELM327-based OBD cable. They'll save you dozens of hours of guesswork. The park assist fault is quite probably due to a dead ultrasound transducer. A registered copy of MES will tell you which of the eight transducers it is. They ...

Source for suspension parts

Hello, Does anyone know where to find suspension parts? I'd need the lower swing arm for the rear axle, part number 60683209. Mister-Auto, Autodoc and Teilehaber have no stock. Partacus seems to have gone out of business. There's one used swing arm for sale in the Italian eBay but I don't really pre...

Re: Cruise control, bonnet varning, glove box and navigation cd

May I suggest that when a question gets resolved outside of this forum, the solution would be posted on the forum, too? Especially for those of us whose German is more than a bit rusty, an English summary would be nice. Or, at least a pointer to the Italian/German/etc. source?

Seat adjustments not working

Hello, Any idea what could make the front seat adjustments and the steering wheel adjustments not working? So far I've checked all the fuses in the boot. There's one 30 A fuse for each front seat plus a smaller fuse for the seat ECU. I've also checked all the connectors below the front seats and, ju...

Re: Three little issues

Hello Joao, A rattling noise comes from a stuck or malfunctionin flap somewhere in the centre console. I've read or heard somewhere that you could reach the flap by removing the centre console panels at the footwell. I've removed the driver side panel and found nothing... Probably it's the passenger...

Re: Headlight

See the attached PDF file. The "special wrench" mentioned is an ordinary 5 mm socket, although you may need a universal joint (a swivel adapter). It's recommended to use a six-corner socket. I got a cheap 12-corner one stuck at the locking rod. Not that bad actually: the socket stays there...

Re: Heat in the cabin when A/C off

Do you hear a rattling noise when this happens? The valve that controls mixing of warm and fresh air is known to fail sometimes. It can be reached by taking apart the carpet against the centre console.

Re: Experience with OBD or CAN readers?

Have you already taken a look on Multiecuscan home page? I'd say that's the software you need, and there's a list of compatible (generic) cables per car model: http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx You may need a set of three adapters for connecting to various ECUs.MultiEcuScan hand...
