Could it be lack of use? When I bought my car there was a bit of hesitation under load, especially when accelerating hard from a constant speed. It wasn't used often and since I've had it I've been using it regularly and it's pretty much cleared it up.

Re: Window winder
Thanks for the reply, sounds tricky! The window is not in a frame, unless you mean the sort of stop at the front where the glass has a cut-out. What I think has happened is that over the years is that this stop has worn down so that the window winds up a bit too far, this in turn forces the window o...

Hi all,
Just been trying to remove the door card on the driver's side to make some adjustments to the window as rises too high when fully closed. How the devil to I remove the window winder?
Thanks,
Dario

However, it must be a slightly different shape as the gauge reads 3/4 when full and 1/4 when empty. Is t...
Re: Hello all
I was given approximate prices of GBP300 for the cams and GBP800 for the exhaust, plus VAT!"What are the kost of the rally cams end the exhaust?" wrote:
Ed, thanks for the door tips, I'll have a go at sorting it.
Cheers,

Re: Hello all
I was speaking with a guy at Omicron and he was the one who suggested fitting "Rally" cams and a decent exhaust as one way to improve power.
I'll certainly book the car in for a timing check and possibly a rolling road tune up.
Thanks,
Dario

Re: Hello all
Yup, the previous owner said the doors, boot and bonnet were replaced with ali ones at some point. As you say, it'll be a steel frame which will explain the (cathodic - is this the correct term?) corrosion. Photo attached of the area that needs attention which has also reminded me of another job. Th...
