A previous owner fitted a BOSCH 0986 ANO 516 alternator to my Flavia 2000 coupe. (Suits Australian Ford Falcon XF) It has an integral regulator but you will have to do some minor modifications to fit the alternator itself. Pierre, From what you say, the alternator (Not generator, they were on earlier Flavias) is working correctly. The ammeter is indicating a quick boost to the battery after starting and then it settles down to a low charging rate as you describe. Probably if you went on a long drive, the charge rate w...

A correction!
A friend has pointed out to me that the picture shows a relay. It is not the voltage regulator.

At least you can legally drive at those speeds! Here in Australia, speed cameras are everywhere and the limit generally is 100kph. They are popularly considered to be revenue raisers ! Brian

I have successfully used an after-market, in-hose, thermostat in my Flavia 2000 coupe. It is held in place by an additional radiator clip.
