Electronic distributor troubles
I have just fitted an electronic distributor to my Fulvia 1.3s. It is one where the points have been replaced by an electronic pick-up, but the mechanical advance and retard is still in place. The car idles and runs beautifully up to 3000 rpm, but will not rev above that. We have replaced the coil w...

Fulvia Cylinder gaskets
Can anyone tell me why the apertures in the Fulvia cylinder head gaskets do not line up correctly with the water channels in the head. My only thought is that it is to reduce water flow, but then why didn't they redesign the head?

Can anyone tell me what the original Fulvia S2 cylinder head thickness is..... and what the minimum should be. I think someone has been a little too enthusiastic on skimming the head, resulting in valves hitting pistons and subsequent breaking of rockers

Grinding and Clunking Noises
My S2 Fulvia has a grinding sound coming ( I think) from the area around the steering box. Always difficult to trace a noise when you are sitting in the car. It only happens when the car is facing downhill and and I'm doing parking maneuvers (spelling :S) actually returning the s...

Re: Solex Carburettors
Thanks Neil. I'd forgotten about the site. Now do you know where I can buy parts, especially the gauze covers for the venturis.

Solex Carburettors
Does anyone have a manual or specs for the Solex 42mm carburettors as fitted to the Fulvia 1600 HF Lusso. Even a manual for the 32's or 35's could help.
