Re: The Saga Continues
I agree with you to never let a non specialised person work on a Fulvia. I see quite a lot of VERY CREATIVE "Engineering". I wrote something about the thermostat in the Fulvia Q&A. See http://www.viva-lancia.com/fulvia/qanda/engine/thermostat.php The Wahler 3029.83 hose thermostat is a...

Re: Opps: picture size ??
You have to upload the picture nefore you click on "Post" In many cases even on 1300 engines I manage to use the crankshaft without grinding thus standard. The crankshaft is of course cleaned and polished. Then the ground bores for the bearing shells are adjusted to give the exact clearanc...

Re: 1600 HF Timing Chain Tensioner
You should in any case clean the crankshaft inside. On the bearing shells there should be a marking. Either nothing or std means standard, then there is either 010 or 020 or 030. Guess who is pulling the rope
Claire is usually Chief as you can see from the first picture below. And from the second one which also shows Christel. Christel is photographer and drives around in her Fulvia coupe. We have a democratic company. I get to be chief for 10 minutes too. But who is really pulling the rope? Of course. P...

Re: The forum is back!
Very nice car, Chas. I worked on an identical one belonging to a customer last year. I liked the combination of body colour and upholstery.

Indeed. You are the first Phil!
