R70 = Grp N Strengthened road type gearbox with straight cut gears.
R90 = Grp A Different gearbox all together.

The body shell is floppy enough without cutting part of it away!

The Odometer reads in KM - not difficult to check yourself surely.....

The UJs are usually pretty reliable, it is more likely to be the bearing in the torque tube.
